Yo Friends !

Are we happy!! The Indian team keeps intact its streak of successful run chase, thanks to a great knock by the captain himself! Now that we are 1 up with four more matches to go, lets hope for nothing but the best and pray that India makes a clean sweep this time around, give your verdict in cricket poll, learn a new fact and just enjoy !!

Indian TeamChasers are winners The Indians once again managed to keep their record of 17 successive run chases intact in the 1st ODI against West Indies in Jamaica. The captain Rahul Dravid once again proved to be The Wall between the Indian team and an embarrassing loss as he hit a much needed ton. There wasn't a hint of unorthodoxy as he took on the Carribean bowling with a cool head. No wonder that the Indian coach termed the century as nothing short of awesome. The West Indies cricket team was left biting dust as all their plans of a clean sweep went haywire. The way this match was won, it is very clear that the team has come a long from the time when a loss used to be grabbed from the jaws of victory and a run chase would unquestionably mean another loss. The approach now is much more confident and aggressive. Its apparent that the new dimension has come from an ability to align attacking instincts realistically to match situations. The way each member is pulling his own weight is commendable and the team definitely deserves kudos for a year without losing in the chase. This lot is surely not susceptible to pressure. Sachin Tendulkar Determined to make his way back into the Indian team, ace batsman Sachin Tendulkar is not leaving any stone unturned. Currently undergoing a rehabilitation programme, the maestro is having practice sessions regularly with the trainers. He had injured his shoulders while throwing during the 3rd test match againg England at Wankhede, his homeground, where, sadly, he was jeered for lack of performance. He missed the seven match one-day series against England at home and the following two match series against Pakistan at Abu Dhabi. Although he is away from action at the moment, the star batsman, like a true blue Indian, never forgets to pray for an Indian victory and is undoubtedly confident about it. Despite his recent career being submerged in injuries, Sachin is firm about playing in the test series against West Indies. His sheer presence will be a boost for the Indian team. Needless to say, they derive strength from this man who has given the Indian cricket some of its best moments of glory. Sachin has been given a deadline of May 23rd to prove his fitness to the board and make himself available for selection for the test series against West Indies. Read about it here. More...
